London Container Terminal’s Vehicle Booking System (VBS) streamlines access for hauliers by enabling advance appointments for container drop-offs and collections. The system also provides real-time status updates on container availability and booking slot schedules.
This web-based platform allows hauliers to schedule their visits ahead of time, ensuring smoother operations and reduced waiting times. Physical entry to the terminal is managed through automated barrier systems and touchscreen kiosks, where drivers must enter their booking reference within a designated time window to gain access.
LCT was the first terminal in the UK to introduce a dedicated VBS mobile app, giving hauliers the flexibility to make and manage bookings while on the move. This technology supports LCT’s commitment to best-in-class gate turnaround times, enhancing efficiency and minimising delays for transport operators.

Via the link below if you have a VBS account with LCT you can login to the VBS system allowing you to create, move, swap and cancel bookings as well as enquire on both Container and Booking Status.
